the first english Novel

 

I was wanting to read the  novel, Rajmohan's Wife, and I was
searching the web a few days ago and came across a thought-provoking essay b

 
 Prof. Makarand Paranjpe. I have in the past enjoyed several of his writings,
and so naturally I clicked on the link to his essay, enticingly titled The Allegory of RajmohansWife:
National Culture and Colonislism in Asia’s First Snglish Novel. I also read the  article on the origins of Indian English literature  and it was  interesting too.
