Although the rug is made from scraps of fabric tightly spun with spindle and then twisted with two ply and it feels like jute which is known to be a little rough on the feet, these rugs are surprisingly soft and even kinda massage the feet.
It always sits under my computer table where I used to sit bare foot. I usually place my feet flat on the rug and stand-up time to time while doing internet.
