I am in WE

When I guess back on your cereals and grains….what is the one grain that sticks out? If I guessed wheat or rice, then you love me and that means I am a loyal person for you. But in all seriousness, yes you people eat the same types of cereals/grains, roti/rice everyday. And this may be very neurotic but I make sure to eat rotties of different grains with at least lunch or dinner (or both!) each day….why you may ask? Well I hope this isn’t too difficult, and you will see, it gets things moving. Whenever any of my close one complain to me about their health or……any food related issues, I always say, eat roties of different grains each day. I kid you not, it works. And when one of the customers for wheat flour at our local grain shop wonders why I buy 7 sac..read the whole article here and HERE
My another post on roties is HERE

Me made doll.

Project Doll!

Project Doll!

It was our textile class, we have to submit a project (utility article out of waste). After submission all the articles from the whole class will be sold in the fair, we will got the original price of the material , while the profit was supposed to go for charity. i hurriedly went to our main library, search for a craft book for reference, it was scorching heat in the month of May, but library was cool with AC connection in the close sequence room, and the browsing room. It took me 2 hours to found out a big craft book, I go through it standing near the rack itself, and issued it for a week. In those days my parents were in Chandigarh. I was in our Chandigarh house the next day for a week’s holiday. My vacation wrapped up in making the project “DOLL”.The project worked out so fruitful ( I got A grade for it), and beautiful that every body praised for it. As soon as I submitted it to my teacher, she purchased( for Rs 5 )it at once than and there. That is ….No need to put it in “fair stall” for sale.
Now after the coming many years I made so many dolls for my nice-and nephews, children of my friends and relatives, for the children of my neighbors and dear ones. Whenever I was in need of a gift, I always used to make that doll, not only that, I used to have one in advance in my stock for sudden requirement, the cycle lasted for many years.

In the picture above my sister’s son ( he is a doing his computer-engineering these days) is holding the specimen doll, in his hand.

I curled-up in my couch after a strain day's work, and had a nap. Soon  there was thunder storm with lots of sand and other materials fallowed by rain, it called a stop to my nap................and isit in front of my computer with a cup of tea...it happend with the following post on rain and i blogged it here.........

Saturday Rain

Two days until Delhi. It is all I think about and had a nap.
A peaceful percussion of pitter-patter awoke me in the evening  just after three. I sent my niece and daughter in law for a very short run and let the sky fall wash over them like a holy bath. Living in the moment, they were and me too seeing them. And in that moment, I even forgot about Delhi.
Thank you, Saturday Evening Rain. I hope you stay all day.

Happy Rainy Day!

some posts are too cool to reblog again!again!!!!!and again !!!!!!!!!!!

Reduce Reuse and Recycle

I usually make the plarn out of plastic bags to crochet something useful but some plastic bags are hard to crochet
plastic bags of sugar, grout, white cement, plaster of paris i made plarn out of these then braided them into a big braid!

Hereis the link for this rainy mat i made out of the braid
and

I unravel the mat  wrapped the braid over two paint tins for plant pots

braided plant pot in the varandah
braid covered  pot in the room

again we people bored with the looks of the plant pots and up-cycled them
Up-cycled braids on the floor in the sun so that they become soft to coil into the mats

third time i made three table mats out of that very plarn braid.

The tradition of ear studs/Bujalis (traditional Haryanvi Jewelrycgn bbvg)

Traditional Haryanvi earrings and nose rings need very large ear/nose lobe holes...
Ear piercing has been practiced all over the world since ancient times. There is considerable written and archaeological evidence of the practice Among the Haryanvi woman of India, earrings were a sign of nobility and wealth, as the placement of each earring on a girl had to be purchased at an expensive  gold of 10 gram.
Method used to enlarge their earlobe gauze was using…
• Peacock feather stem
• Tamarind powder
• Mustard oil
• Water
They cut the feather stems (starting from one stick) twice the thickness of their earlobes, after piercing they used to wear metal (silver or gold) rings, after healing (they used to apply mustered oil and, tamarind powder, for healing). After healing they insert one stick from peacock feather after making it very thin ( using water and rubbing the sticks with to and fro movement in palms to make the sticks as thin as they can),after insertion they spray water on ear lobes, so that the thin sticks gradually swallows and make the earlobes large. They had to repeat the process tow-three times a day. After some days they insert another set of feather sticks, they used to increase the number of sticks, thus made their earlobe -holes larger to accommodate their large earrings i.e. bujlies.

though in this picture silver bujlis and nose purli  are  of silver metal

Tuesday Views

On Tuesday, we were in Jind making preparations for Rekha's wedding. On our way back home, I caught a glimpse of the setting sun casting its golden glow over the horizon.

Golden hour views through the windshield. सफर, ढलता सूरज और खूबसूरत रास्ते।

When industry meets the beauty of nature.चिमनियों के बीच से छनकर आती ढलते सूरज की सुनहरी किरणें।

An incredible silhouette against the evening sky सूरज की रोशनी और धुएं का यह अनोखा नजारा।

Chasing the setting sun on the way back home.कार की खिड़की से झांकता सुनहरा शाम का सूरज।

A peaceful evening drive wrapped in warm twilight.घर वापसी का सफर और ढलती शाम की खूबसूरती.

There is something deeply magical about sunset and sunrise photos. The way the world gets bathed in rich shades of red, orange, and yellow instantly elevates the whole mood. What I love even more are the shots captured right from the road, with open crop fields stretching out alongside. Capturing that glowing sun through the car window during a peaceful drive is always special.

The last rays of daylight filtering through the trees. खेतों और पेड़ों के पीछे से मुस्कुराता सूरज।

Catching the fiery sun right before it disappears.शाम की यह लालिमा और शांत राहें।

As the car kept moving, the sun seemed to tag along with us through the trees and power towers. If you missed the view on Tuesday, here is a glimpse of that big, bright, beautiful sunset.

I was in the car, so the sun and I stuck together. I just love it when it's big, bright, and round.

I’m a huge fan of beautiful sunset and sunrise pictures. There’s something about the world being bathed in that red and yellow light that makes everything look extra magical. Even more special to me are the sunset shots taken from roads passing through crop fields—capturing what that setting sun looks like during a ride.
