Niche is A Haryana Thing because i lived in various places in India but never seen any place else.But every one down here one( house may be newly built or old) in our village mansions there were many but they were meant for placing the oil or ghee diva or lamp at night .because there was not any electricity there. But now a days i think..........Its craziest thing! this niche in my drawing room drove me for a longest time, because i couldn't figure out what to do with it.Then one day when i got an invitation from a friend for her, Watch shop's inauguration, I have surely to shop something then i bought one...............NO! NO!!!!Not this one.........but clock found its place ...and it became a tradition!!!!!!!!!
When we bought this house there were three of them one in each room and one at my back yard wall. they are only 6-8 inches deep
