A Japanese brain researcher has found that there is a zone
in our brain that makes us feel motivated to do something.
"The only way to activate this brain zone is to give it
some stimulus...meaning, even if you don't feel like doing something, you need
to start doing it. Once you begin doing it, it will be stimulated, and will
start to go into self-excitation mode - which will heighten your concentration
and motivation."
Jesus Christ's b day post
The answer eludes me. And it always seems that it’s one step ahead of where I seem to be at the moment!
To me, creativity like beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. If you think you’re creative, you are. If you are creating, then you are creative. If you ponder creativity then, you too, have a creative muse working inside of you.
According to Wikipedia, “Creativity is a phenomenon whereby something new and valuable is created (such as an idea, a joke, an artistic or literary work, a painting or musical composition, a solution, an invention etc.). The ideas and concepts so conceived can then manifest themselves in any number of ways, but most often, they become something we can see, hear, smell, touch, or taste.”
Sometimes, I believe many creative persons are in a “creativity crisis.” That means fearing to jump into the fabric or technique unknown, to sew without a plan, to design their craft freely without judgments, to follow ones gut instead of a trend.
I challenge you to take the leap. Grab a few fabric bundles, a couple of fabric rolls, or pile of cotton fabric assortments from the shop my sis use to buy — then play. That’s right, PLAY!
Feed your creative soul. Give your muse sustenance. Let go of any doubt or fear or self-criticism and return to the innately creative person you were as a child. Relax and reclaim the creative spirit you were born with!
I can’t believe how quickly time is going and that I can’t believe baby girl is already x months old…but, I can’t believe how quickly time is going and that baby girl is already 5 months old and she celebrated Jesus crists birth day..
