Revisiting Memories: A Four-Day Trip to Bhopal for Haryana Utsav

It’s been a long time since I blogged. It’s been even longer since I’ve blogged about what we’ve been up to lately!

We returned back to New Delhi after a four-day tour to Bhopal. We (Me, my granddaughter, and my two nieces) accompanied my daughter on her official trip to Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, where she was invited to read her poetry at the Haryana Utsav.

While she was engaged in literature and events, the rest of us made the most of this trip by exploring the beautiful city of Bhopal. Looking at these old pictures today brought back so many cherished memories that I couldn't resist sharing them here.

A Visit to Bhojtal (Upper Lake)

After checking into our hotel, our very first stop was Bhopal’s famous Bhojtal (Upper Lake). Known as the 'City of Lakes', Bhopal's charm truly lies by the water.

  • Fun by the Lake: The little one was thrilled to see ducks waddling near the shore. Watching her excitement as she pointed at them made the evening even more special.

  • Playful Moments: Bhojtal isn't just about scenic views; it was a total playground for my granddaughter. She spent time blowing bubbles and running around freely, making the atmosphere lively.

  • Quiet Reflections: Standing near the lake with the gentle evening breeze made us realize how precious these simple family outings are.

Glimpses from the Trip

What started as an official literary invitation for my daughter turned into a memorable four-day getaway for all of us. Looking back at these photos today reminds me that while time passes quickly, these spent moments with family stay with us forever.
