Yes-it's polyester-not the most glamorous fabric in the world. But aren't the color and pattern fabulous? I think so!

 I can just imagine someone cutting up a roll of big than  and sewing this together. Awesome!

I'm loving this pattern so much I might be trying to make one of these (only bigger) from vintage fabric . Yes-I think I will do that.....someday.....hopefully in the near future.

Recycled Plastic bottle comb case

Few days back i made a comb case using a plastic bottle my crochet hook and cotton thread ....and a vintage lace piece stacked somewher in the bed head-box.My daughter stacked her combs in it saying it is my comb case from today............But it was so light to stand with the loads of her comb....

then i did some renovation ...........see the details in the photo under neath

कबाड़ से जुगाड़: बेकार पेंट के डिब्बे और बोरी के धागों से बनाएं सुंदर स्टोरेज बॉक्स

क्या आपको वह पुराना अनरैवेल्ड बर्लेप ( Burlap) फ्लावर पॉट याद है. आज हम एक खाली प्लास्टिक पेंट बॉक्स को नया रूप देकर इसे रीसायकल कर रहे हैं.

इसे बनाने के लिए मैंने सिर्फ एक बेकार पड़ा पेंट का प्लास्टिक डिब्बा, बोरी से उधेड़े हुए धागे, फेविकोल और सुंदर हरे मोती इस्तेमाल किए हैं. पहले बर्लेप से लिपटा और बीडेड स्कर्ट वाला यह बॉक्स एक फ्लावर वेस की तरह इस्तेमाल होता था. अब हमने फेविकोल की मदद से इसके ढक्कन पर भी बोरी के धागों की लपेटन पूरी कर ली है. ढक्कन पर गोल-गोल लपेटा गया रंगीन बर्लेप धागा बॉक्स के बीडेड डिज़ाइन से पूरी तरह मेल खाता है.

बोरी के धागे से ढका हुआ पेंट बॉक्स का ढक्कन.

इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में ढक्कन पर हल्के रंगों की झलक बर्लेप के डिज़ाइन को और भी आकर्षक बनाती है. जब आप इस पर फ्लैश डालकर फोटो लेते हैं, तो धागों में पिरोए हरे मोतियों की स्कर्ट और ढक्कन का कॉम्बो और भी निखरकर आता है.

फ्लावर वेस की तरह इस्तेमाल होता हुआ पुराना प्लास्टिक पेंट डिब्बा.

इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में ढक्कन पर हल्के रंगों की झलक बर्लेप के डिज़ाइन को और भी आकर्षक बनाती है. जब आप इस पर फ्लैश डालकर फोटो लेते हैं, तो धागों में पिरोए हरे मोतियों की स्कर्ट और ढक्कन का कॉम्बो और भी निखरकर आता है.

कबाड़ से जुगाड़ का यह आसान प्रोजेक्ट न केवल पर्यावरण के लिए अच्छा है, बल्कि घर की सजावट में भी देसी बोहो लुक जोड़ता है. क्या यह रीसायकल्ड स्टोरेज बॉक्स सुंदर नहीं लग रहा है.

सामग्री (Materials Needed)

·         पेंट का बेकार प्लास्टिक डिब्बा

·         बोरी से उधेड़े हुए धागे (Burlap Twine)

·         फेविकोल (Fevicol)

·         हरे मोती (Green Beads)

I love cuts in crystal, in case  I looked any crystel in roaddside shops I  just have to have them.

Yes !!!!i used to attracted to anything crystal.when I was shopping for Diwali 

 ( actually  Dhanteras  is the best day for festive shoping of diwali).

I bought it in 2004 …I bought 4 boxes for drygift gifts on the occasion…I gifted three ful of dryfruits to my friends and this one is with me ………always ready to be served with Haldiram's  crispy bhujiyaas..

Yes it is one place to put four varieties of Haldiram preprations!!

The traditional embriodries……….

kantha embroidery, popular in West Bengal in India, is a form of running stitch used to decorate saris, shirts, shawls, pillows covers, cushion covers, blankets and many other everyday household fabrics across cotton and silk

I learnt about   Kantha when I was in my BSc (HomeScience in clothing and textile class)  and I discovered Sashiko embroidery more than 10 years ago. It was just like kantha and the design resemble very much with my grandmaa’s darning stitches. I bought and read a book on the subject, which described methods for marking the designs on fabric, as well as the stitching technique, but I was never quite ready to actually try it. Over the years, I encountered an article or two on the subject, which I read with interest, but didn't pursue further. Recently  I read and fallowed  to know the details from here,  here and  here
