छोटी-छोटी चीज़ों का जादू: मेरा शाम का एक सुकून भरा रीचुअल, Embriodary

हम अक्सर जीवन में बड़ी खुशियों की तलाश करते हैं, लेकिन असल सुकून उन छोटी-छोटी चीज़ों में छिपा होता है जो हम रोज़ अपने हाथों से करते हैं। ऐसा ही एक सुकून भरा पल हर शाम मुझे मेरे कमरे के दरवाज़े पर मिलता है।

जानिए कैसे एक छोटा सा शाम का रीचुअल आपके जीवन में सकारात्मकता ला सकता है। इस ब्लॉग पोस्ट में मैंने अपने हाथों से बनाई रीथ (Handmade Wreath) और रोज़ाना शाम को उसकी लाइट्स को जगमगाने के अपने प्यारे अनुभव को शेयर किया है। दिनभर की भागदौड़ के बाद, कमरे के दरवाज़े पर बिखरी यह रंग-बिरंगी रोशनी मन को असीम सुकून और मानसिक शांति देती है। छोटी-छोटी चीज़ों में खुशी ढूंढने और घर को सकारात्मक ऊर्जा से भरने की यह एक छोटी सी दिल छू लेने वाली कहानी है।

यह जो सुंदर सी रीथ (wreath) आप देख रहे हैं, इसे मैंने खुद अपने हाथों से बनाया है। 

इसे मैंने थूजा के पत्तों को गोल  थर्मोकोल की रिंग पर रस्सी से लपेट कर बनाया था,पहले यह हरी थी फिर जब थूजा सुख गई तब भी बहुत सुंदर लगती थी.   यह सिर्फ एक सजावट की चीज़ नहीं है, बल्कि मेरे दिल का एक टुकड़ा है। रोज़ाना शाम होते ही इस पर लगी रंग-बिरंगी लाइट्स को ऑन करना अब मेरा एक पसंदीदा रीचुअल (नियम) बन चुका है।

रात के अंधेरे में जब ये लाइटें जगमगाती हैं, तो पूरे कोने में एक जादुई और सकारात्मक ऊर्जा भर जाती है। दिनभर की थकान के बाद जब भी मैं अपने कमरे के इस दरवाज़े को देखता हूँ, तो मन को एक अजीब सी शांति मिलती है। यह रोशनी मुझे याद दिलाती है कि बाहर चाहे कितना भी अंधेरा हो, हम अपने भीतर और अपने घर में हमेशा रोशनी बनाए रख सकते हैं।

DIY Home Decor: Transforming Simple Straw into a Beautiful Front Door Wreath

Recently, I crafted a wreath to hang on my front door, and I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! There is something incredibly satisfying about creating beautiful home decor with your own hands using simple, raw materials.

For this project, I used a natural straw base (सूखी घास) and wrapped it with a combination of navy blue, white, and vibrant turquoise ribbons. To give it a cozy, rustic charm, I also handcrafted some fabric flowers and added a vintage button as a finishing touch.

But as I was making it, I got curious about the history behind this beautiful tradition. Did you know where it all started?

A Quick Trip Down Memory Lane

This decorative tradition actually has its roots in 16th-century Germany during the Reformation. At that time, Martin Luther used a wheel-shaped device to teach children about the meaning of Christmas. Over the centuries, that concept evolved into the circular wreaths we see today.The circle itself symbolizes eternity and a warm welcome. Today, this circular arrangement, often embellished in various ways, serves as a charming and festive embellishment for a home's entryway.

How I Made the DIY Fabric Flowers

I made those cute matching flowers on the wreath. It’s surprisingly simple and doesn't require any sewing! Here is how you can make them:

1.    Cut the Ribbon: Take a long strip of your favorite fabric or thick ribbon.

2.    Fold it: Fold the strip in half lengthwise to give it some thickness and neat edges.

3.    Roll and Twist: Start rolling from one end, and as you go, keep twisting the ribbon outwards. This twist-and-roll method naturally creates the shape of beautiful flower petals.

4.    Secure it: Once you reach the desired size, just secure the base with hot glue or a few stitches, and your fabric rose is ready!
