simple pleasures

 Today's simple pleasure...
an old fabric  bowl, that my mom
created with fabric braids,
has found a new home
and given me motivation to get some
skeins of organic cotton
rolled into balls.

पहले जब मैं छोटी थी यानी २४-२५ साल की तब कितनी मेहनत कर लिया करती थी किसी एक चीज को बनाने में 'इस वाल हेंगिग को बनाने के लिए छोटे रिंग्स को लाल और हरे धागे से बटनहोल स्टीच से ढका बड़े रिंग पर जाली का कपड़ा चढ़ाया और मुश्किल स्टिचेज की क्रोशिये की तितली बनाई और उसे बड़े फ्रेम के बीचों बिच लगाया. तब बनी यह सुंदर वाल हैंगिंग। 

Earlier, when I was young i.e. 24-25 years old, then I used to work so hard to make anything creative To make this wall hanging', small rings are covered with red and green thread with buttonhole stitch, mesh cloth on the big ring Made a crochet butterfly with complicated stitches using crochet thread and placed it in the center of the large frame on net. Then this beautiful wall hanging was made.all the items except thread are recycled material.

any how i borrowed hindi verson vipada  ke maare after reading the whole book iwil again write a post  on this novel.

Ripple blanket

 After the big Ripple blanket  crocheted two ripple bolsters.

When I decided to crochet my blanket in ripples then i found that the ripple pattern was very easy to follow. I did however find that the moment I switched off my computer I would forget which part of the ripple I was on, so I had to pay attention! 

There is something very comforting about these soft waves of yummy colour. I am so in love with that blanket blanket!

 Then I started up a bolster the  second one to accompany the first one!

 Once the main part  was done I then added two circles to the ends and a simple slip stitch to join the main rectangle parts and the circles at the ends and then finish it off with weaving ends!

 And here they are  all finished on my-couch with   the bright cover my daughter and  I have purchased from local market! presently the one bolster is staying on the couch of my daughter at Delhi!

while its companion is here at my house itself!

 I'm so so happy with my creations  and will definitely make another ripple pattern blanket for my grand daughter Rehana who is 23 days old today!

Yes i will make a small cute ripple blanket for her  some time soon!

With another gorgeous project  finished, I could not resist putting both of them together for a group shot!

My daughter's poems,Quote, cloudy days

I like to tell the truth as I see it. That's why literature is so important. visit to Jind 

We were at Jind to visit my sister’s family. We stayed there for 3 days

All days there were welcomed us with dawned   grey, drizzling and cloudy, these days they give me a headache and makes me cranky.

I like rainy days, but not today there is only black clouds have dropped four drops for littering more than they already are and also have to go carrying umbrella in case it rains and then not fall or drop and umbrella you leave it at the first cafe you walk these days do not like anything.
But that there is no other rain drops!
I like cloudy days??

Rags to reaches , my balcony garden, Quote of the day

I visited a village some time ago and found Durries with rag strings and  pillows using rags string blocks. believe me or not i found them in each and every house of that village i visited............is it a flue of string blocks?

If you haven't made a string block before, consider yourself warned: they are majorly addicting, as I mentioned in the name of flue! I Made an oath! I will make these blocks after completing my pending sewing projects ..yes I will use leftover pieces for making these strip blocks . It was so incredibly fun, quick, and easy, that I just HAD to have another go. Just to make sure. So I scurried home and squirreled away into my rag bag to plot. The next day, this happened. Have a look at the picture below!

a post with bottle vase,Just a quate to inspire

Nothing of interest to blog about right now. I did make 2 lines of ripple border (for my cushion ripple), but I haven't taken any pictures yet. So instead I thought I would post a pretty bottle  vase with white flower that I picked during my morning walk from the Ekta Park. Then I made another bouquet with my jatropa from my potted jatropa plant in front yard.and that was for our Show room didn’t took photo of that bouquet.
