Make chain 38
ROUND1: Single crochet in the 2nd chain from the needle, single crochet in each chain to end.
Ronda2: 1chain,turn. Single crochet in each chain.
Repeat Round 2 until piece measures about 30.5
cm
Next Round: 3chain, turn. Skip the next chain, 1 treble in next chain , 4 treble * Jump (treble,
chain, treble, chain, treble, chain, treble) in next chain (this will form a
"shell"). Repeat from * to end. In the last repetition, leave 4 chains, 2 trebles
in the last chain.
Next Round: 3chain, turn. Skip the next chain , treble in next * make a "shell" in the chains
of central shell of the previous round, repeat from * to end finishing with 2trebles
in the last chain.
Repeat last 2 rounds until piece measures
about 43 cm. Fasten off.
Button
2chain
ROUND1: 3 single crochet in the first chain, join with slip
stitch at the beginning to form a ring.
Ronda2: 1chain, 2 single crochet in each chain, join with
a slip stitch at the beginning of the round.
Ronda3: 1chain * single crochet in next space, 2 single crochet in next, repeat from * all around. Join the round.
Ronda4: 1 single crochet * single crochet in next space, repeat * around. Join.
Cut the
yarn leaving a long strand.
With sewing needle and thread that you have
left, sew around the edge and pull tightly to form the button. Fasten off. Use the remaining thread to sew the bag.
Finishing
Fold the bottom edge of the bag about 15cm up
and sew the sides. Sew the button. Use the space between the "shells"
as a buttonhole for the button.

optionally make a strap to hang the bag:
