जैसे ही बेटी को दिल्ली जाने के लिए बस स्टैंड छोड़ कर आई तो आते ही मॉनसून की पहली बरसात शुरू हो गई ...

पुराने कपड़ों से बना गलीचा 

आस्-पास पिछले दिनों से बरसात हो रही थी जिससे यहाँ का तापमान भी कं हो गया था  परन्तु हिसार में बारिश का आगाज आज सुबह 7.15 पर हुआ

कपड़ों की सिलाई से बची कतरनों से बनी मैट 

बेटी के साथ कृष्ण प्रनमी आश्रम जाना हुआ वहां के बने सुंदर गलीचे और मैट लाजवाब थे जिन्हें बेकार पुराने कपड़ों और सिलाई से बची कतरनों से बनाया गया था..मैंने वहां जाकर पुरानी चीजों से और भी नायाब चीजें बनाना सिखाने का उनसे वायदा किया है....

Frugal me!

i demount-ed the sleeves of my shirt to use it as house-wear dress

then i did blanket stitches at even intervals on the armholes and did 1sc  in one blanket stitch 2 rounds and  finished weave in the ends! and its ready to wear........  

this is the plastic bag of 5kg sugar ..
i bought from the market two days back

i cut out the 1/2 inches strips to make plarn out of it

this is the old carpet 3 foot wide and 7 foot in length in size

its very difficult counted work i did 20 years back!

Done on plastic yarn woven bag of urea and leftover wool

this is my 1st big project of crochet

i will find out what is the size of this photo ! i love it and not eager to edit it.......

then ..........i did it 20 years back but not aware the name of the embriodery! the weary work of ages can be seen in the photograph below some fringes of yarn are there .......they grantee that it is the aged.antique work

परम्पराएं, क्रोशिया

राजस्थान के कबीलों ने अपनी संस्क्रती को बखूबी सहेज रखा है जबकि हम आधुनिकता को ओढे इसे पीछे छोड़ते चले जा रहे हैं

राजस्थानी कबीलाई महिला अपने परम्परागत लिबास में  

 इस टिब्बे की रेत   और इन ऊँटों को देख मुझे अपना बचपन याद आ गया जब मैं इन ऊँटों के पिलान पर बैठा करती थी  और  हमारे ऊंट होली आले  टिब्बे से होता हुआ हमारे खेत जाया करता

मैंने अपने इस खादी के कांथा कधी वाले कमीज़ के गले के पहले के क्रोशिये की लेस को उधेड़ इसे बड़ा किया इसकी बाहें भी काट दिन और इसे विदाउट स्लीव बना कर सईदों से भी ढीला कर दिया ताकि मैं इसे घर पहन सकूँ ...

 गले को काट कर बड़ा किया ..अपनी जेनोम मशीन से किनारों(गले और बाहों  के) पर जिग-जैग मशीन चला कर पक्का किया और फिर क्रोशिया चला कर बार्डर यानि ट्रिम बना दी

 इसके लिए मैंने मशीन के धागे (तेहरे) का इस्तेमाल किया है...

हैं ना सुन्दर !!!!!

Fabric covered boxes

Few days ago I received some card boxes filled with laddus and Amul ghee I ordered. Although not sturdy enough like plastic boxes, but I immediately noticed that they would be perfect for stacking my Yarn stack, which is growing with each purchase. It seems I am always looking creative side for the packaging material, and what better way to stack something colorful INSIDE something special/green, right?   So I tried my hand for my first fabric covered boxes with some used fabric pieces……….what is the appropriate word here up cycled/repurposed/recycled/reused…………please suggest? 

 Salwar Kameez  SUIT FABRIC

They are easy and fast to make, one big rectangle of fabric is needed. This one comes from My old Rajasthani cotton Salwar Kameez, this one fabric piece was once the cover of the chair, but I liked the design of Rajasthani shirt and the micro check, big check and the condition and colour of the fabric is good. None of my boxes is made with wadding the big card boxes of Ghee and 1 kg Amul Ghee  see HERE  were reused  to make these boxes. here is an INSPIRATION
