E Bronete the real SAINT

Vipin Choudhry
May issue
It's Vipin Choudhry’s  Reading Week she always made complaint that I am not devoting time reading her writings especially she used to recite poems in front of me repeatedly even on her cell phone and asked to edit them any how this week    I've chosen something a little different from her different modes of writtings……….   As for  the poems she's best known for, Vipin Choudhry also writes (in her own words in hindi)  several  biographies, and translates, including a book on Emily Brontё(under publication). Actually, she used to extract some part of the book she translates and got it published in the prominent Hindi Magazine  aha-zindagi . Vipin  wrote on Emily's  and on her work. Interestingly, as the biography of Maya Anglou she translated is  around 200pp long, her biography of Emily is also just under 250pp. It seems to have been the natural length of her work, the length she was comfortable with. She wrote a book titled  “main roz udit hoti huan” in hindi on Maya Angelou. Prior to it she  wrote an article on her life in  aha-zindagi.Click lallowing links for her work on Maya Maya Angelou.
Recently her article on Emily's lif I published in May 2015.
The method employed in the following pages is of analysis rather than synthesis, through which it is hoped to promote some fresh thoughts on the subject. The following essay is planned to reconstruct Emily Brontё's life story exclusively from documents concurrent with the events.

I usually read the writings of her sister Charlotte Brontё  and she has been the main source for information about her sister. As I recollect my reading on the family of  Emily ……….from the morning when Branwell appeared in his sister’s room with a box of wooden soldiers & they each chose one, "Emily's was a grave-looking fellow, and we called him 'Gravey'." to weave stories around; to her nervous inquiries to friends as to how Emily behaved in company. Charlotte took the lead in everything from the decision for herself & Emily to go to Brussels to study to the publication of their poetry & novels. Charlotte's poignant letters to W S Williams (reader for her publisher, George Smith) chart the inexorable course of Emily's last illness, "She is a real stoic in illness: she neither seeks nor will accept sympathy. To put any questions, to offer any aid, is to annoy...You must look on and see her do what she is obviously unfit to do, and not dare say a word..." Charlotte wrote the Prefaces & Biographical Notices that set the tone for both Emily &her younger sis Anne's reputations.
Goggling the  original documents, especially the few letters & diary papers written by Emily, a different picture emerges. Emily certainly didn't enjoy being away from home. Her brief periods at school & as a teacher, ended with a return to Haworth. Spark sees this not as defeat but as Emily creating the conditions she needed to work as she wished. She approved of the scheme to start up a school with her sisters only until she received a legacy from her aunt that meant she didn't need to work. The diary papers Emily wrote on her birthday (to be put away & opened several years later with Anne) are the most important documents we have in discovering what was in Emily's mind. They are full of snippets of information about her daily activities, her pets, what the family are doing as well as plans for the future. They're written in almost a stream of consciousness with little concern for spelling or punctuation,
Aunt has come into the kitchen just now and said Where are your feet Ann Anne answered On the floor Aunt. Papa opened the parlour door and gave Branwell a letter saying Here Branwell read this and show it to your Aunt and Charlotte. The Gondals are discovering the interior of Gaaldine. Sally Mosley is washing in the back kitchen. November 1834

It's a snippet of life in the Brontё kitchen with a bit of news about the Gondals (the imaginary people that Emily & Anne wrote a long-running saga about) dropped into the middle. A later diary paper, written in 1845, is full of family news & the tone is of contentment with her lot,
As Vipin searched ….searched and ……….searched   an found that ……Emily as the happiest of the sisters until the last period of her life. She had a real vision of herself as a writer & was able to create a life for herself at Haworth that allowed her time to write.Vipin  believes Emily was a natural celibate. She needed no relationships outside her own family & these completely contented her. She was single-minded about her work & allowed herself no distractions. Her idea of love was a universalised one which may have been unrealistic but which led to the universal declarations of love in Wuthering Heights. Catherine's cry, "I am Heathcliff" is an example of this.

Vipin  sees Emily Brontё as a writer who fulfilled her promise as far as she could. Maybe her mind became unbalanced in her last months &, when she realized that she could not control the tuberculosis that was killing her, she gave in to it. I found this a refreshing way to look at Emily Brontё's life. Vipin  brings a novelist's imagination to trying to understand a woman whose posthumous reputation has overtaken the real life she lived.
 For rest peek into  aha-zindagi.

Missing my Mom-----------Love you mom

This is my second Mother’s Day without my Mom and there is still rarely a day when I don’t think about her and miss her. Few days back   listened a concert. Some words from the song Wanting Memories  resonated with me. I thought that you were gone, but now I know you’re with me.

I lost my mom in Jan 2014. There are days that are harder for me than others and Summer  is a difficult season because mom loved it, sitting on her" piddhaa" (a smaller version of khat , to sit on )and "bijanaa" (hand fan)in her hand she used to sit leisurely
chatting and having relief with the fan in her hand . I do not think we ever get over losing our moms. We go through periods of adjusting to different levels of grief. Grieving has no time period, you have to adjust and grieve at your own pace. I lost my father in 2007 and there are times that the grief is still fresh, but not as sharp as the pain of losing my mom.

This year, Mother's Day falls on Sunday, May 10.<br />

God bless all moms

"Mother's Day is celebrated in over 40 countries worldwide. In the United States in accordance with Regulation congress of 1914 always falls on the second Sunday in May. Poland has been established that will be celebrated on May 26.
Most countries that have adopted this holiday organizes them just in May.  It is therefore the month of May, in addition to many other important dates and anniversaries, which in itself carries, also a month of the mother.  This is yet another reason to call it the most beautiful month of the year.
Tradition handling of Mother's Day dates back to ancient Greece.  Along with the blossoming of our ancient ancestors spring approach the celebration of the feast of Mother Nature.  During special festivals, which culminated in the burning of victims brought by the congregation, Folding hold the goddess Rhea, wife of Cronus, mother of the universe and all deities.  In ancient Rome created a custom celebrations of the goddess Cybele, also regarded as the mother of the gods.  This feast was called Hilaria and it lasted three days, from 15 to 18 May.
The modern Mother's Day carries a lot remains of the Roman Hilariach.  As with many other pagan holidays, Hilaria been "adapted" by the patriarchs of the early church and converted to the Catholic feast of the Mother of God.  As time evolved into the custom of that day to return to his home parish in which this was a baptized, and in this way not only to honor the Mother of God but also his own mother.
Another look at the history of Mother's Day is the story of the so-called.  "Maternal Sunday," celebrated from around the sixteenth century in England and Scotland.  Every fourth Sunday of Lent for the young and young laborers were primeval forests to their homes to spend the day with their mothers.  Traditionally mothers bring small gifts or special "mother's cake", where a visit to the house was walking the girl.

In the United States the history of Mother's Day, of course, very happy story, but adoring his mother to the borders of Miss Anna Jarvis of South Virginia.  Two years after her mother's death in 1907, Anna Jarvis and her circle of friends began a campaign to establish an official Mother's Day.  Miss Jarvis, who herself never married and who to the end of his life taking care of his blind sister thought that in this way will make the best tribute that to which he longed after death more than life.  Also argued that mothers are too undervalued, and children often too late to realize the validity of the mothers in your life.  The establishment of Mother's Day was to strengthen the bond between parents and their children, and pay attention to the effort you put in maternal care of their families.  The first Mother's Day, which led Anna Jarvis was honored with a special Mass at which they prayed for all the mothers in the world.  Just four years later, Mother's Day was already well known and adopted the feast. This year

This year my preference decor-wise is for colour and crochet! And they do cheer me up no end. And to cast some light to the dark evenings I have unpacked my "antique   lantern ". Here it sits on my fabric drop-down spindle weaved yarn box.

colourful crocheted Zar cozies in the niche

"antique   lantern "
My crochet  hyperbolic dressed antique doll
Beautiful Raubritters
ONLY TWO YEARS BACK    I planted some rose bushes in the pot and place them along the railing of the front door, hoping that one day some of them would "spill over" to the road side. So far most of them are too small to do so, but Raubritter has managed to find its way through the supporting cooton yarn nailed on the front yard wall.

My flowers

This time all these little summary flowers have grown in my front yard, as soon as it's past 7 o'clock though, they disappear and wait for the new day.

I like to see these sky-high boughs..............

These are really blissful moments..........
And then pluck  them to adorn  our  inner part of the house too..............
And occasionally then pluck them to adorn our inner part of the house too............
its me doing some chore in the balcony............

Yes the Jatropa continue to shoot up flower spikes in ridiculous amounts even in the hotty  Jyeshtha_ _ (month of Hindu Calender, corresponds to May-June)
They are actually pretty interesting the closer I have inspected them. Still have to look these up and see what I should be doing with them?
Jatropa in incredibly VIVID pinky!
Flowers, Jatropa Flowers, Everywhere
Well, this earlier day post is now getting posted today morning
I used to sit in my balcony  in the mornings and  evenings and it feels great to behold...........

What I was going to say last night was... I'm home from my ngo’swork, with only 2 full weeks left in the field... I'm amazed at how fast the time has gone already... and how good things have been overall. This morning, however, I've woken up early with lots of aches and feeling like another cold (yes cold with running nose in the hot season) is coming on... the pains of being running nose  in summar time, in Hisar and still working in the field. I'm going to smash through lots of oranges and other lovely prevention foods, and hope to keep it away.
Hope these little red flowers cheer up your summary  day if you're like me in this part  of the World... and hope to see you soon!

 XOXO

Hum Ko Manki Shakti Dena

It's a prayer in guddi its self awareness song its inspirational song .jaya innocent acting adds to the beauty to the song

Prayers when sung by little children are as PURE AS THEIR EYES without sins and fragile as a lotus petal and GOD hears their prayers without fail and there voices even radiate bliss that do touch our souls without fail thus enlightening us of GODS PRESENCE within us all.

Translation goes like this, "Oh our beloved Lord, we are Your children, give us the power to conquer the evils. We should be loving to all.  We should merge our feelings with friends and foes. We should be compassionate towards others. Oh Lord, kindly save us from falsehood. Rather than conquering others, we should be victorious on our shortcomings. Kindly bless us with powers of mind to overcome all difficulties. Oh Our Beloved Father, bless us with all the virtues of life to love and respect others. Give us wisdom to be kind and loving."

MY VERY OWN CORNER

It's been a while since I last posted an entry here. This creative person (yes ! I’m creative) has been very busy... with life and with crochet, sewing, and making yarn with fabric scraps in leisure time. A lot of unexpected things happened that had me doing things and planning like crazy. Friends ordered crocheted items when I show them my finished projects . I think I will write a separate blog about this.
Aside from  doing things listed above , photography is also my passion. This week has been a busy one because we had to go to my sis for a week for change. And then, we had an unexpected photo shoot on the way.  When we got home to Hisar, we're scheduled to go to Delhi. So we had to unpack and pack the luggage.   We came back soon and did tiring job of dusting and washing.
THEN AGAIN THE TRIP TO DEHLI FOR MY’NIEC’S EXAMINATION AND FOR AN EVENT OF OUR NGO
