holy-bhagavad-gita

तत: शङ्खाश्च भेर्यश्च पणवानकगोमुखा: |
सहसैवाभ्यहन्यन्त स शब्दस्तुमुलोऽभवत् || 13||

1.13: Thereafter, conches, kettledrums, bugles, trumpets, and horns suddenly blared forth, and their combined sound was overwhelming.
Commentary: Seeing the great eagerness of Bheeshma for battle, the Kaurava army also became eager, and began creating a tumultuous sound. Paṇav means drums, ānak means kettledrums, and go-mukh means blowing horns. These are all musical instruments, and the sounds of all these combined together caused a great uproar.
