My computer was in trouble,that’s why I was not able to blogpost.

If it was taken to the computer shop, it would have been doing fine, back home it  would stop again, this spectacle continued for many days. Free finally the computer man said it is completely over now. I had a lot of trouble, there was a lot of work in it, there was a lot of photos, thank God he managed to tackle the problem and retrieved all the files and things,it survived and got its Mother board replaced and put all the files in it.

As soon as my son bring the computer in our house,I hurriedly opened it and check for the photo folder which contained hundrads of my grand daughter’s photos. Thank God! All of them were there, here is one ….when she was 6 months of age …..

Miss Rehana  is the sweetest baby, and so content. She looks at the world with big serious eyes and has to feel comfortable before engaging in smiles and play. it was the month of december (12/28/2014 7:49AM)Just after we came from Park  she was sitting in her chair completely engrossed with a piece of packaging( I unfold  it). The sun shone for a brief moment and illuminated her, so I grabbed my phone and took a quick photo. 


As we contemplate another year in a world where much is broken, I leave you with these words from J._R._R._Tolkien,

उपयोगी तोहफे बनाइए.....
आम-तौर पर हम बहुत सी चीजों को अनुपयोगी समझ कर फैंक देते हैं लेकिन क्या आपने कभी सोचा है कि इनसे भी आप कई उपयोगी चीजें बना सकती हैं१ यदि चाहें तो आज ही आप नारियल से फूलदान, पेन-sटेंड ,ऐश टरे, और बचचो को जनमदिवस पर चाकलेट भर कर देने के लिये आकरसक बरतन बना सकती हैं। टूटी पलेटों से गमलों के थांवरे बना सकती हैं।

फूलदान

आवसयक सामानः नारियल, चाकू, पीलर, (सैंड- पेपर) आरी, चूङी, टूथ-पेसट का ढकन, पेच, वारनीश, रंग आदि।
बनाने की विधिः आवकतानुसार गीला अथवा सूखा नारियल, जो (चटखा न हो) लेकर चाकू की सहायता से उसका रेशा निकाल दीजिए से छील लीजिये तथा रेगमार पेपर की सहायता से उसे खूब चिकना कर लीजिए, ताकि वानिश और रंग उस पर भली परकार चढ सके। आप जितना रेगमार पेपर से रगङेंगीं उसकी फिनिश उतनी ही सुनदर आयेगी।
रेशा उखाङने के बाद नारियल में आपको तीन सूराख अथवा गडढे नजर आयेंगे, उस तरफ एक चूङी रख कर पेंसिल को चू,ङी के घेरे के अंदर घुमा दीजिए। इससे नारियल पर गोलाकार निशान बन जायेगा, जिस पर कि आपको नारियल काटना है। सादा अथवा लोहा काटने वाली आरी को निशान पर रख कर धीरे-धीरे आरी चलाइए।जब निशान के सथान पर कुछ गहरा गडढा हो जाये, तो नारियल को थोङा सा घुमाइए तथा आरी चलाती जाइए, जब तक कि वह दो भागों में कट न जाये।अब उसके दोनों भागों में बीचों-बीच चाकू की नोक से घुमा-घुमा कर इतना मोटा सुराख कर लीजिए कि पेच अथवा नट-बोलट लगाये जा सकें। इस काम में यदि आपको दिकत हो, तो आप बढई से यह काम करवा सकती हैं। अब चित में दिखाये अनुसार काटे गए नारियल के दोनों भागों को पेच अथवा नट बोलट की सहायता से जोङ दीजिये, दोनों के बीच में टूथ पेसट का ढकन सूराख करके लगाना ना भूलें में रख कर अबजब

वर्ष 2004 में  रमणिका फ़ाउंडेशन की पत्रिका "युद्धरत आम आदमी" के दो विशेषांकों की योजना रमणिका गुप्ता जी ने बनाई थी। एक विशेषांक भारतीय भाषाओं की स्त्री कविता का और दूसरा स्त्री लेखन (गद्यभाग) का। 

यह निस्संदेह एक बड़ी विशाल व श्रमसाध्य योजना थी। रमणिका जी ' अपने जुझारूपन, कर्मठता  और अतीव उत्साह के लिए भी अपने आप में विशिष्ट उदाहरण हैं।  उन दिनों मेरी बेटी रमणिका गुप्ता के घर पर ही रहा करती थी वह बताती थी कि,  रमणिका जी रात-रात भर बैठ कर प्रूफ देखा करती थीं और विविध भारतीय भाषाओं की हिन्दी में अनूदित हो कर आई कविताओं के पुनर्लेखन की भी आवश्यकता पड़ा करती थी ताकि उन्हें हिन्दी के मुहावरे में सही सही ढाला जा सके। प्राप्त कविताओं में से कुछ कविताओं को उन दिनों रमणिका जी के साथ बैठ कर नए रूप में ढाला, ढलते देखा। 

और परिणामतः "युद्धरत आम आदमी"  का भास्कर संकलन "हाशिये उलाँघती स्त्री" दो खंडों में आ गया   और

26 March 2011 को  इनका लोकर्पक रमणिका फ़ाउंडेशन  "युद्धरत आम आदमी"  और साहित्य अकादमी के तत्वावधान में एक दिवसीय कार्यक्रम भव्य तरिके से सम्पन्न हुआ। देश भर से विभीन प्रांतों से विभिन्न भाषाओं की लेखिकाएं आई और उन्होंने अपनी-अपनी कविताएं पढ़ी. कार्यक्रम में मेरी  फिल्म जगत की हीरोइन

भी आई थी उनकी कविताऐ  भी इस संकलन में संग्रहित थी .रंगकर्मी और लेखिका विभा रानी ने   कविताएं पढ़ी और उन्होंने रमणिका  एक कहानी पर नाटक खेला

Back in July 26-30th we visited Bhopal for "Haryana literary Festival" 
on 30th of July we headed to visit sanchi stupa. Sanchi is 46 Km from Bhopal, the greenery on the way to sanchi  captured our eye over and over again. India  is a vast land rich in what is produces. I found it beautiful. And took many photographs!

the views were endlessly beautiful.we took 100's of photos.And it was not sunshine,it was cloudy and foggy   adding some drama ,luckily we didn't encounter rain on the way and our visit the World Heritage Place the Sanchi atupa

in the evening .........

  अर्जुन उवाच |

अपरं भवतो जन्म परं जन्म विवस्वत: |

कथमेतद्विजानीयां त्वमादौ प्रोक्तवानिति || 4||

BG 4.4:Arjun is puzzled by the apparent incongruity of events in Shree Krishna’s statement. The Sun god has been present since almost the beginning of creation, while Shree Krishna has only recently been born in the world. If Shree Krishna is the son of Vasudev and Devaki, then his statement that he taught this science to Vivasvan, the Sun god appears inconsistent to Arjun, and he inquires about it. Arjun’s question invites an exposition on the concept of the divine descension of God, and Shree Krishna responds to it in the subsequent verses.

I am a tea cup hoarder.  There is a problem that i use them turn by turn and many of them were  met with accident  and had crack line on them some of them became handle-less I was so ashamed when I counted this morning and came up with a shocking number TWELVE . I have 12  tea cups  in my kitchen and that does not even include that additional 6 or so glass tea cups. Apparently, I have a weak spot. They represent places we have been, great times in my life and gifts from daughter.  How can I possibly give any of these keepsakes up?  I simply can't.  The only alternative is to find new uses and re-purpose my treasures so that they can remain in my home but, satisfy a need without cluttering my kitchen cabinets. 

I decided to sit down and write down some other way  to re-use them..like i think to crochet different types of dresses for  them and then use them as knives, spoons, shredder holders, tea strainers, spatula holders, and pencil pan holders on study table, and crochet-hook holders near my couch table...let see what will come up.....time will tell.

macrame 

This summer was all about the Stainless Steel Water Bottle Slings – they went with us everywhere! 

Then my daughter joind a project and she  needed a new cozy – with the handle. So I dig out the macrame skien of her fav colour i.e cream, of course! While I had a stainless steel water bottle in mind, I soon discovered that this pattern fits a standard size  bottle just as well, making it a great water bottle bag /carrier for travel! And it works up in an afternoon – perfect for last minute invites (and the last night before her project starts…) ZOOM!

Yes I am on knitting spree now

 Am knitting a shrug for my daughter

I begin it as one piece starting from color in double rib. Ithink it will be a good snug, but not tight just fit, at least that is my plan, while buying this yarn .. The yarn was looking very sober in shop, but my daughter didn’t show any anthuism for this yarn, saying its like aged people colour. let see who will be have the honor to have it.  

It is an acrylic yarn 

I adore using self patterning multi color  yarns. But sometimes my daughter  likes to make her own color and pattern choices. I bought this from our nearby market last month only, this is a small shop named after the lady owner PUNAM wool store,patel nagar Hisar.  

My analogies between life and knitting............. 
I have enjoyed yarn crafts for almost my entire life(from the age of 7 yr).  Knitting inspires my creativity as I think about color, design, and texture in the hopes of creating new and beautiful things for my home deco, sweaters,frocks,nickers,socks for kids of my entire family,friends,and relatives.
But knitting is, for me, also a deeply spiritual practice.When we knit we take something that is almost useless and turn it into something appealing and functional.  The practice of knitting teaches patience.  The finished object that I see in my mind’s eye is months from completion, yet stitch by stitch it gets closer.  When facing a task in life that seems daunting, I remember the pair of baby sock. that I knitted for my  elder brother.  It was months of the same stitch in the same yarn.  At first it looked so incredibly bland and boring.  But when it was complete, oh when it was complete it was a work of art and, more importantly, it kept him warm in his first fragile months of life in  winters of Jamnagar, Gujrat.

Knitting helps us envision a future more idyllic and more complete than the present.  It is like the prayers at the end of the worship service.  “May the time not be distant, O G-d when…”  As long as we can see that perfect future when nations live at peace, we can work towards making it a reality.  I’m casting on for that future right now.

teachings of Shreekrishna, Little blooms in tiny vase

इन्द्रियाणि मनो बुद्धिरस्याधिष्ठानमुच्यते |
एतैर्विमोहयत्येष ज्ञानमावृत्य देहिनम् || 40||
Bg 3.40: The senses, mind, and intellect are said to be breeding grounds of desire. Through them, it clouds one’s knowledge and deludes the embodied soul.

This false identification of the spirit soul is very nicely explained in the Srimad-Bhagavatam (10.84.13):

“A human being who identifies this body made of three elements with his self, who considers the by-products of the body to be his kinsmen, who considers the land of birth worshipable, and who goes to the place of pilgrimage simply to take a bath rather than meet men of transcendental knowledge there, is to be considered like an ass or a cow.


Miniature flower arrangement
The vase is just a little bottle of shilazit  given to my sister and me after we gave a visit to our village for b day of my niece in 2012 i.e.many  years ago. I've had my eye on it for several weeks now, eagerly anticipating this moment!

 They are a very pretty dark red when they first emerge in the Spring.

 The main ingredient in this arrangement is Jatropa bloom. I absolutely love this little flower! There are several small clumps of it in my front yard pot-garden, and they get more beautiful with each year.
