BG, blocking of crocheted doily

यततो ह्यपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्चित: |

BG 2.60: The senses are so strong and turbulent, O son of Kunti, that they can forcibly carry away the mind even of a person endowed with discrimination and practicing self-control.

I crocheted these doilies last week..

Blocking is the second most exciting part of crocheting.  The piece is finally pinned out and drying and all you can do is staring in amazement at what just came off your crochet instrument.
Then you give thanks for the miracle of blocking, because before this step, your crochet work was a lumpy, shapeless mess.  At the same time, your happiness is checked by a sense of dread as you wonder what this will look like on the table or for the purpose you crocheted the item.  Will it be ethereal and elegant, or just a giant doily?
