Empowering Young Minds: Creative Summer Workshops and Macramé Art at Mahila Suraksha Samiti (MSS)

As many of you know, after my retirement, I have dedicated myself full-time to social work. I serve as the President of our NGO, Mahila Suraksha Samiti (MSS), which was registered in 1992–93. The NGO was originally led by my dear friend, Late Dr. K.M., and following her passing, I took on the responsibility of guiding its mission.

While our regular centers have dedicated tutors who teach sewing, embroidery, and vocational skills, I wanted to organize a special summer workshop to encourage creativity and sustainability.

Since the workshop concluded, the young girls from the slum area have been calling me regularly, saying:

"Madam, please come back and teach us something new again!"

Their enthusiasm and love make all the effort truly worthwhile. It reinforces our commitment at Mahila Suraksha Samiti to keep learning, sharing, and empowering young lives.
